The American rock icon Mark Lanegan pays a special visit at this year’s Filmlab Aarhus, where he will give a 100 lucky guests an exclusive acoustic performance alongside the local orchestra, The DeSoto Caucus.
Every year at Aarhus Festival’s concerts, ‘The Medium-Rare Sessions’, The DeSoto Caucus and Howe Gelb invite guest-singers to perform on stage with them. Last year, these sessions brought out the best of Mark Lanegan and his characteristic vocal, which is one of the darkest and dirtiest in rock history. And Lanegan himself was apparently so enthusiastic about the interplay with his new friends from Aarhus that he once again returns to the Festival to perform this exceptional and exclusive concert in the cinema.
The concert will begin with extracts of the concert recordings from last year’s Medium-Rare concerts with Sarah Blasko, CV Jørgensen and Mark Lanegan.
