The Democratic Set 2010

In a large wooden box, selected Aarhus Festival guests alongside actors from the theatre group Back to Back Theatres create short performances, which are shot and afterwards edited together into a parade of small portraits. All of the participants perform on equal terms in the neutral film setting, and in that way Back to Back Theatre demonstrates how theatre – as with democracy – can provide the opportunity to be seen and heard.

The film was shown in relation with Filmlab Aarhus 2010 in the cinema, Øst for Paradis.
